The Maitri Trust
The Maitri Trust is an international development NGO that supports partners in India and South Africa to improve education for primary school children. We gave them a comprehensive re-brand, brand-new website and full suite of branded marketing materials and templates.
Our brief came at a pivotal moment for the Maitri Trust.
They had recently recruited a new CEO, transformed their funding strategy and made significant changes to relationships with international partners. They wanted to reflect these changes in a bold, confident new brand and to build their profile.
Step 1: Research & brand workshop
We worked in partnership with the Maitri Trust to explore the meaning behind their brand, their audience, contemporaries, values and core priorities. This evolved into a new visual identity for Maitri.
Step 2: Brand messaging guide
We developed brand values, a value proposition and tone of voice guidance. The resulting Brand Messaging Guide ensured that all future communications sounded and felt like they were coming from the same brand personality.
Step 3: Brand guidelines
We designed a new brand mark (logo), colour palette, font combinations, iconography, and illustrations.
Step 4: Marketing materials & templates
We created a full suite of branded templates for Maitri to use across their future work.
Step 5: Website
We designed and built a comprehensive new website for the Maitri Trust. The new site:
Helped prospective partners (grantees and co-funders) understand Maitri’s vision and strategic objectives and how they may or may not fit with those
Raised awareness of partners' work
Demonstrated the impact of Maitri's work and ways to learn and improve
Provided more transparency about the charity's background
Opened opportunities for collaboration.
